Requirements
Caregiver Certification or Equivalent experience (may have CNA or LNA license)
Valid CPR and First Aid certifications
Valid AZ Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
Evidence of a negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
Article 9 and Prevention and Support certifications (preferred)
Qualifications
High school graduate or G.E.D certificate preferred.
Caregiver: 1 year (Preferred)
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile
Authorized to work in the U.S.A.
Skills
Effective listening skills and communication among residents and staff
Planning and Time Management skills
Responsibilities:
Assist with daily living activities (bathing, showering, toileting, dressing, grooming, feeding etc.)
Personal Hygiene care such as changing briefs, nail care, mouth care, etc.
Meal Preparation
Housekeeping/Laundry duties for all residents
Properly transferring residents from bed to chair, chair to toilet, chair to vehicle etc.
Monitoring any changes in resident’s health, and properly reporting changes as needed
Maintain confidentiality of all residents
Collaboration performance and ensuring you’re working as a team with other staff
Must be able to provide companionship to residents (i.e. crafts, painting, sensory games etc.)
Other clinical or non-clinical duties that may be assigned by the group home manager as necessary
Summary of Duties: As a Dreamcare of AZ Group Home Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care of up to 6 adult residents with developmental disabilities. The Group Home Caregiver must present full clinical understanding of each resident and their care, attend to their needs, and maintain professional conduct and communication.
