Job Overview:
The Community Medical Center Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for Financial, Statistical, and P&L reporting utilizing the Patient Accounting System, PeopleSoft GL/HR, Strata, Kaufman Hall, and our Decision Support Systems.
The Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Director of Finance and assists in the monthly financial close process in coordination with hospital and corporate finance resources.
The Senior Financial Analysts assists hospital leadership in monthly P&L reporting, revenue and expense variance analysis, productivity analysis, monitors service line volume trends, and tracks key performance improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required:
A Bachelor of Science degree with a major in accounting/finance is required.
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced computer experience is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office-Excel, Access, Word, as well as PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of:
Healthcare Finance
Healthcare Accounting Practices and Budgeting Systems
Hospital Management and Operations
Hospital Staffing and Productivity Measurement & Reporting
Hospital Revenue Cycle and Reimbursement
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
CPA and/or MBA is preferred.
3 or more years of healthcare/hospital facility experience is preferred.
Experience with PeopleSoft, Kaufman Hall, Strata, ADP, Horizon Performance Manager, Tableau, and/or Epic is a plus.
