Job Summary:

The Indigent Analyst is responsible for assessing and managing applications for indigent status, ensuring that individuals who qualify receive appropriate financial assistance or support services. This role involves analyzing financial data, determining eligibility based on established guidelines, and maintaining accurate records. The Indigent Analyst works closely with clients, social service agencies, and legal entities to provide comprehensive assistance to those in need.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Review and analyze applications for indigent status to determine eligibility.

· Interpret and apply local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines related to indigent status.

· Interview applicants to gather necessary information and documentation.

· Provide guidance and support to clients throughout the application process.

· Explain eligibility criteria, benefits, and obligations to applicants.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all applications, decisions, and communications.

· Monitor ongoing cases to ensure compliance with indigent program requirements.

· Coordinate with social service agencies, healthcare providers, and legal entities to facilitate access to services for eligible individuals.

· Prepare reports on indigent program utilization, trends, and outcomes.

· Analyze data to identify areas for process improvement or policy development.

· Provide recommendations to management based on their findings.

· Ensure all actions and decisions comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

· Protect the confidentiality of client information in accordance with privacy laws and organizational policies.

Skills/Abilities:

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, case management systems).

· Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

· Strong Customer Service

· Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to indigent status.

Education and Experience:

· Preferred bachelor’s degree in social work, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.

· Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in case management, financial analysis, or a related role within social services, legal, or healthcare settings.

· Experience working with indigent populations or in public assistance programs is preferred.
