Job Description
Position Overview
As a SCADA Engineer, you will work as part of a growing SCADA team that
is responsible for developing and maintaining the current OSI Monarch
SCADA Infrastructure which manages operations for numerous clean energy
projects including wind, solar, battery and natural gas throughout North
America, Latin America, and Europe. This position will be based in the
Chicago headquarters or remote.
Responsibilities
- Employ analytical, conceptual, and creative thinking skills to
troubleshoot/improve SCADA system reliability to drive overall
business and systems performance.

- Validate current SCADA architecture and ensure all additions and
modifications are scalable.

- Lead the development and implementation of configuration plans for
new project startup, including, but not limited to coordination with
other utilities, development of points lists, RTU and ICCP
configuration, HMI development, alarm scheme integration, and
ancillary equipment setup to meet all relevant requirements.

- Provide expertise and guidance surrounding telemetry requirements of
Independent System Operators and other offtakers.

- Drive operational standards during the implementation process.

- Evaluate and participate in development of SCADA structure standards
of database attributes and displays within the Monarch system
ensuring standards are scalable.

- Develop and maintain custom solutions to work around system
limitations as necessary.

- Review and implement as-built documentation and changes to drawings
into SCADA systems.

- Research, evaluate, and stay current on SCADA-related tools and
technologies.

- Work with other departments to ensure the SCADA environment
addresses business requirements.

- Support operating facilities with upkeep/troubleshooting of existing
substation controls systems, including communications processors,
meters, and protective relays.

- Train/deliver various SCADA-related training to small/medium size
groups

- Mentor team members on new SCADA technologies, tools, processes, and
standards.

- Perform other duties assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- 9+ years of relevant SCADA software experience (OSI Monarch or
Ignition by Inductive Automation).

- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer
visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer
Science, or related degree

- Experience with developing training content and delivery to
small-to-medium size audiences

- Programming language knowledge a plus (C, PowerShell, Python, SQL)

- Experience with various protocols (DNP3, Modbus, ICCP, OPC, SEL FM).

- Experience with configuration of communications processors (SEL
RTAC, SEL Accelerator) is a plus.

- Database/historian experience is a plus (SQL, OSIsoft PI)

- Experience with electrical generation operations is a plus.
