Reporting to Manager, Business Intelligence & Reporting, as a Business Analyst you will be responsible for developing Python and SQL programs to find innovative solutions and to extract data using different tools and technologies. You will work closely with the business to understand the objectives and propose different solutions.

As a Business Intelligence & Reporting Analyst, you will:
Conduct risk events investigations through data analysis. Apply analysis requirements to identify risk event cases.
Quantify financial impact resulting from pricing and other risk events.
Apply advanced SQL and Python techniques in data extraction and transformation from different sources.
Identify flaws in business processes, system errors or data quality errors that may have adverse impact on business stakeholders.
Apply robust coding, validation, analysis, communication, and documentation standards pertaining to business unit in all aspects of risk event work.
Identify redundant and repetitive processes. Optimize and automate those processes as well as any recurrent control tasks.
Create complex and comprehensive business intelligence reporting packages and dashboards using the newest technologies and support in ongoing activities.
Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.
Job Requirements
What can you bring to TD? Share your most relevant experience, credentials and knowledge for this role, as well as these essential requirements and attributes:
Graduate or undergraduate degree in Data Analytics, Business, Computer Science, or relevant field.
Minimum of (2) years of knowledge and experience of programming languages such as SQL and Python.
Experience with BI tools like Posit, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
Experience with big data tools, such as Azure/Databrick, etc.
Motivated to constantly strive to find innovative ways to enhance existing manual reporting.
Ability to transform by challenging the status quo and think outside the box.
Good organization skills and the ability to effectively prioritize work based on multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong research capabilities to find needed data.
Confident developing reports in various platforms using the newest technologies.
Demonstrate robust collaboration and analytical skills and understanding of performance metrics.
High attention to detail while managing data and information.
Superb problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer orientation and a professional approach with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization.
Self-motivated, quick learner, team player with high energy and ability to work independently.
Expertise in working effectively in teams.
Knowledge of products and of the General Insurance market are an asset.
