Position Description

Fixed Income Sales professionals work closely with our institutional trading desks to facilitate fixed income business with institutional accounts. Salespeople are responsible for all aspects of distribution of fixed income products, including desk runs, desk axes and general inventory distribution to external clients. Additionally, sales professionals respond to account inquiries, BWICs, OWICs and general fixed income market and trading inquiries.

Primary Responsibilities

Sales Representatives are responsible foractively assessing and managing risk, sales trading securities and interacting with covered accounts to structure and execute transactions in fixed income products.Candidate must have a strong interest and experience with a wide variety of fixed income securities, including Credit (IG/HY/Loans/EM), Rates, Securitized Products, and derivatives. Candidate should possess excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring an aptitude for analyzing and interpreting complex information in a timely manner. Build strong internal and external relationships to expand product diversity and wallet share with current accounts and to identify prospective new institutional accounts to grow the MSCL fixed income business.

· Manage a book of institutional accounts and prospect for new accounts.

· Collaborate with institutional fixed income trading desk staff and Global Capital Markets to distribute fixed income products.

· Facilitate fixed income transactions with external institutional accounts.

· Maintain professional and first-class relationships with institutional accounts to deliver an outstanding service and experience with Morgan Stanley

· Identify crossing selling opportunities/referrals for Prime Brokerage, Clearing, Equities and Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM).

Skills Required

· Bachelor’s Degree Required** · Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH) are required and must be maintained. · Ability to obtain additional licensing, if required, or additional certification, preferred, (e.g., CFA)

· Possess a strong understanding of the financial services industry and global capital markets products.

· Knowledge of Bloomberg, MarketAxess, Tradeweb and familiarity with the ratings agencies.

· Ability to work independently and handle client/desk inquiries when sales is engaged with another account, unavailable or out of office.* · Self-motivated, innovative, hardworking individual, who can handle multiple tasks and competing deadlines.*

· Outstanding attention to detail and follow-up

· Demonstrate strong time management/prioritization skills and solid judgment.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office

· Strong verbal and written communication skills**
