Bodywork Technician
The Bodywork Technician will be responsible for carrying out bodywork to the highest standard on the restoration of Singer vehicles in a manner that demonstrates, “Everything is Important.”
Essential Functions
Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools
Performs high-quality surfacing repair and production work, including depression repair
Aligns body panels to gap and flush specification
Performs minor metalwork repairs using hammers and dollies
Replaces bolts on panels and align properly
Provides technical guidance and mentorship to other technicians
Consults with leads to understand and diagnose root causes of non-conformances
Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
8 to 10 years of experience working in a body shop, specializing in custom restorations.
Experience applying high film build urethane primers and sealers.
Experience using polyester fillers to correct and shape body panels.
Knowledge of high-level surfacing and gaping using block sanding methods
Ability to file, grind, and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools
Ability to accurately work from a spec/process sheet

Compensation
The starting pay range for this position is between $29.00 - $36.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
