Responsibilities:
Supervises, hires, trains, evaluates and motivates the Fleet Maintenance team; directs the daily work of direct reports
Coordinates the repair, preventative maintenance, cleaning, inspection and all other related functions of trucks and equipment
Ensures proper safety policies and procedures are in place and followed; eliminates all hazardous working conditions
Ensures that all repair work is done with the proper tools in a safe, efficient and timely manner
Performs quality control checks on all equipment on a daily basis
Reviews and approves all invoices payment
Maintains working knowledge of Federal, State and local rules and regulations, including Department of Transportation (DOT); ensures all vehicles stay in compliance with rules and regulations
Conducts performance appraisals and recommends salary considerations for subordinates
Completes departmental reporting as needed
Completes other duties, including special projects, as assigned by Management

Excellent communication skills and the ability to research and resolve issues
Good understanding of intra-department functions and operations
Ability to perform repeated bending, kneeling, twisting and overhead reaching
Ability to stand for an entire shift
Ability to frequently lift between 5 to 20 pounds
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
