Location Description The Post Consumer Brands plant in Tremonton, Utah is part of the company's West Coast network, with more than 220 team members supplying Malt-O-Meal bag cereals, PEBBLES cereals, and more to a variety of retailers. When you join the Tremonton team, you'll be joining a group of motivated problem-solvers and safety-first culture. Responsibilities JOB FUNCTION: Works in concert with operations management to mobilize and direct maintenance resources in driving production equipment performance to meet plant safety, productivity, and quality plans. Support, implement, and maintain food safety practices as required through SQF. Responsible for completing job duties in a manner that supports all plant safety, food safety, quality and environmental practices. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Manage and coordinate maintenance teams to perform mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment troubleshooting, repairs, and planned maintenance in compliance with company safety, food safety, and personnel policies. (24 hours per day 7 days a week) Coordinate closely with operations management to maintain an up-to-date understanding of needs and priorities. Manages continuous improvement efforts of maintenance teams to increase uptime and equipment reliability. Partners with Operations team to implement and improve autonomous maintenance. Oversee the execution of all scheduled preventive maintenance and assigned work orders in a timely manner. Manage and update technician advancement program so tech skill levels align with required on the job knowledge. Encourage and facilitate the development of maintenance team members through the technician advancement program. Leverage maintenance resources to proactively identify opportunities and carry out projects to improve safety, productivity, cost, and quality. Manage projects and provide direction to contractors and vendors as required. Manage all personnel aspects of maintenance teams. Hire, coach, set goals, conduct performance reviews, and handle disciplinary issues. Manage employee expectations and accountability. Support other maintenance teams in problem solving and decision making. Track and measure team performance. Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to manage work. Ensure effective resolution of problems through timely failure analysis, identification of root cause of failures, and implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Perform any other function as directed to meet company and business needs. Qualifications JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education/Experience: 4 year degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in plant and production equipment maintenance, including mechanical, electrical and electronic systems. Experience in a food processing environment preferred. 3-5 years experience in a supervisory or team leadership capacity. Skills and Abilities: Ability to supervise maintenance employees in a team environment, provide work direction/guidance and follow-up to ensure results. Skills include hiring, coaching, conducting performance reviews, training, providing work direction and monitoring and managing results. Strong communication and coaching skills. Ability to work closely with peers and internal customers to share responsibility and solve problems. Knowledge of production machinery operation and maintenance and the ability to troubleshoot effectively. Demonstrated analytical skills, use of metrics and cost control. Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management System. Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics. Additional Requirements: Must be able to read, write, and communicate in the English language; Must wear company-issued uniforms (snap-front shirt & pants) and required PPE (bump-cap, hair net, beard net, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, steel-toed shoes, etc.); Regular attendance; Flexibility to work overtime and/or on alternate shifts if needed; Must follow and reinforce established safety procedures; Ability to work 8 to 12 hour shifts in which standing, kneeling, climbing and walking are 100% of on-the-job time; Ability to work in the following conditions: hot and/or humid environments, heights up to 30ft, working on ladders, confined spaces, and catwalks.
