JC Recreation Summer Camp Counselor This individual should have three or more years of documented experience leading and directing youth ages 8-12 in a variety of activities including sports, fitness, crafts, educational games, and group field trips. This position will be responsible for maintaining campers safety, checking campers in daily, leading activities, taking attendance, directing younger counselors, and assisting with snack and lunch times.
The Camp Counselor will work closely with the Camp Coordinator and lead the campers in daily activities and provide close supervision. Both Counselors will report and communicate regularly with the Recreation Director.
Hours will be 7:45am- 5pm Mon-Thurs. Staff will rotate to take lunch breaks. (Campers drop off is 7:45am, pick up is 5pm).
Pay-rate is $12/hour for 32 hour work week.
