    Summary Reviews and approves work papers for internal audit. Prepares initial draft of annual internal audit plan. Provides senior management with information sufficient to allow an assessment of the organization wide internal control structure and related procedural effectiveness for the purpose of compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Supervises audits of financial statements and other records of operating locations and departments to ensure transactions are recorded and operations are conducted in accordance with Senior Managements general and specific instructions.

    Prepares audit work papers and submits audit findings by publishing a Final Audit Report for each audit.

    Evaluates and documents accounting and other internal controls systems to determine their efficiency and effectiveness. Communicates such internal control evaluations to senior management to provide a basis for management's internal control assessment required by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act Title IV Section 404.

    Analyzes data obtained for evidence of deficiencies in controls, duplication of effort, extravagance, fraud, or lack of compliance with laws, government regulations, and management policies or procedures to provide effective improvement recommendations.

    Conducts special projects for management, such as those required to discover mechanics of detected fraud and to develop controls for fraud prevention, and any other operational or financial projects required.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    Reviews and approves audit work papers and submits audit findings by publishing a Final Audit Report for each audit.

    Trains and supervises Internal Audit Department associates.

    Education and Experience

    Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; a minimum of six years of relevant experience and Professional Certification as a CPA or CIA is required.

    Language Skills

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    Mathematical Skills

    Must have the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Must have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    Reasoning Ability

    Computer Skills

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    Certified Public Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor is desirable.

    Other Qualifications
