Position Title IT Director - Finance Shared Services

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and innovative technology leader to support our Finance organization in delivering business value to our customers, our management team and Board of Directors, various regulators, and our investors. Now that we have reached large bank status, we are working with the FRB and OCC to ensure we are positioned to the appropriate risk-based controls and adhering to regulatory reporting requirements. In this role you and your team will be responsible for delivering and supporting all Finance technology.

The IT Finance Director will partner with the Finance business unit to standardize core processes and services resulting in increased speed, accuracy, and availability of financial data. This role will deliver business value by driving product delivery, enhancements, ensuing stability and adherence to technology standards. The IT Finance Director will also be responsible for working with the Finance business team and Enterprise Architecture to research opportunities to improve the functions operations. The IT Finance Director will act as a single point of IT contact to the Finance business and coordinate support and solutions across the IT organization.

Job Responsibilities: Responsible for the delivery of Finance solutions for end-to-end strategic and operational Finance business processes. Designs and maintains the Finance technology roadmap driven by the Finance business unit priorities. Develops materials and participates in Strategic Project Approval Review Committee (SPARC) meetings representing the technology for the Finance business unit. Participates in annual capital planning. Works with PMO, Delivery Leads, Process Leads, and Change Management to develop standards, tools, and systems to manage the deployment of the Finance products effectively and efficiently. Identifies opportunities to improve the systems process flow, performance, and technical efficiencies. Develops and drives strategies and a culture to improve the technology organization's ability to deliver innovative, and cost-effective solutions to the Finance organization. Financial focus on delivering activities on or below budget, leveraging value-driven activities, and ensuring external resources meet contractual deliverables. Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Complete all required compliance training.Maintain knowledge of and adhere to Flagstar's internal compliance policies and procedures.Takes responsibility to keep up to date with changing regulations and policies.

Job Requirements : 10 years of overall IT experience with 5 years in a Bank or Financial Services environment 5 years of Finance technology experience and experience directly leading a team including making personnel decisions. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in the areas of Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent field of study required. Background in supporting large bank compliance-related initiatives preferred. Comfortable working with Finance and Accounting leadership to understand laws, regulations, and standards to facilitate the intake of new projects. Prior project involvement in a broad range of systems and tools - ERPs with Standard and Customized functions, 3rd Party Tools, Analytics/KPIs, and FP&A. Understanding of general accounting, tax, treasury and audit principles and priorities. Strong experience leading, planning, and executing on activities for large-scale enterprise systems and projects.
