Description Robert Half is seeking a Database Administrator with strong problem-solving skills to contribute in solving complex, multi-layered challenges. This position would be a great fit for an efficient problem solver with fine-tuned decision-making skills. This permanent opportunity for a Database Administrator is in Tucson, Arizona.
What you get to do every day
Verify that SLA objectives for database server topology, configuration, and maintenance are met in design and execution
Figure out the most effective way to increase performance including hardware purchases, server configuration changes, or index/query changes
Advise on database design, tuning options, and other potential issues
Install, configure, and maintain all relational database instances across development, staging, and production environments
Baseline system performance and monitor for deviation, recommending and implementing improvements to slow running queries
Configure database monitoring utilities to avoid false alarms
Restore databases as service outages occur, including after hours and weekends Requirements - Solid understanding of Data reporting
Knowledge of CRM
Foundational knowledge in PowerShell
Microsoft SQL Server experience
Previous experience in production environments and being on-call
Practical knowledge of storage and server hardware desired
Proficient at adapting queries to enhance performance
Experience developing and maintaining documentation
Familiarity with relational database management systems
