Required Skills & Experience
High School diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
1 or more years of experience preferred in a related field (facilities operations)
Working knowledge of MS Office Applications, i.e. Word and Excel.
Excellent organizational, prioritization, multi-tasking, math, written, verbal, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization.
Valid local State Drivers’ License with driving record.
Desired Skills & Experience
AS/AA or Technical Certification in a related discipline.
Certification in operating lifting equipment.
Experience in the telecommunications industry.
Experience operating commercial chillers, cooling towers, boilers, VFD drives and pumps
Experience operating automated Building Management Systems including Central Plant, HVAC controls, and automated lighting systems.
What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
Assists with operating leased or owned structures, other technical sites, and office facilities within the allocated budget. Responsible for daily facility operations and maintenance of administration, retail, warehouse, COE, etc.
May assist with building security, energy conservation, reception, and mailroom operations, office equipment, and furnishing procurement.
Oversees new facility plan execution and build-out. Ensures compliance with all local, state, federal, and OSHA facilities-related regulations.
Performs basic electrical work, preventative maintenance of HVAC, basic plumbing, office furniture repairs/cleaning, and basic carpentry work and conducts routine inspections of such items.
Assists with reconfigurations and relocates furniture and office equipment as well as set up and take down of furniture/audio visual equipment for meetings and special events in-house or at remote locations as required by event planning.
Performs special projects such as office modifications, furniture tear-down/reconstruction, door repairs, light bulb replacements, mounting bulletin boards, whiteboards, TVs, pictures, etc.
Assists with coordinating vendor activity for miscellaneous repairs.
Contact current vendors/contractors to solicit cost estimates for minor repairs, etc.
May review invoices or service tickets for accuracy and submit them to the leader for processing and payment.
Performs ergonomic modifications to furniture/equipment as directed by Safety.
Reviews UET work request queue daily.
Takes action on tickets as directed and/or needed to meet SLA.
Respond to emergency calls, evaluate damages, and take necessary steps to protect customers, employees, and property.
Observes, reports and/or remediates safety matters.
Maintains inventory of supplies, parts, and stock.
May perform some minor landscape repairs or adjustments and property clean-up services (minor trash, cigarette butt clean up, removal of small broken branches, etc).
May provide security assistance as needed.
May perform basic janitorial duties throughout the facilities.
May occasionally be responsible for shipping, receiving, and mail delivery.
May participate in meetings and assist with special event support and planning with respect to facility-related matters.
