Job Summary:

The Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) Air Dominance Business Office is seeking an experienced and motivated financial analyst looking to expand their leadership skills within the development portfolio of the Air Dominance SSBU. This subset of the portfolio is focused on unlocking additional capability within the AMRAAM system and offers exposure to multiple customers and contract types. These contracts utilize contractual Earned Value (EV) to provide early indicators of performance (cost/schedule) impacts to the programs and allow for corrective measures to be implemented.

The ideal candidate will be able to partner with program leadership and cross functional partners (PMO, supply chain, contracts, engineering. security, DCMA, USG, etc.) to drive execution and influence change. You would be a critical business partner in providing insight and analysis to strategic decisions to achieve bottom-line results. Our partners are all on-site which promotes transparency and open communication.

This candidate should also be familiar with or excited to gain experience in the financial lifecycle from cradle to grave (proposal, negotiation, contract setup, baselining, execution, contract close-out). We are looking for someone who has a love for spreading knowledge and influencing process improvements.

These programs employ over 200 FTEs, include annual sales of more than $75M, and has a total value of >$300M over the next five years offering the opportunity to see cutting-edge technology in real life application on a system actively in production with significant exposure given the impact to the SSBU financials.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to early career analysts

  • Guide program team through data driven decision making by properly executing all aspects of a detailed earned value management process. This includes collaboration with key team members as well as delivery of EVM CDRLs while working the team through potential internal and external auditing.

  • Drive collaboration with your program team to develop periodic estimates at complete and support financial forecasting.

  • Communicate effectively with Cost Account Managers (CAMs), Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads, Program and Finance leadership.

  • Review key deliverables (EV, EACs, BSEC) for accuracy and consistency

  • Prepare and track invoices

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related topic

  • Typically requires 5+ years finance work experience; OR an Advanced degree and 3+ years prior relevant experience

  • Experience in SAP APEX and the Microsoft Office Suite of tools

  • Experience interfacing, conducting business, and working collaboratively with various functional disciplines (Engineering, Supply Chain, Contracts, Operations, etc.) in a cross matrix organization.

  • Experience operating in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience handling a high volume of priorities and maintain on time delivery

  • U.S. Citizenship Status is Required as this position will require the ability to Access US Only Data Systems

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in EVMS baselining, implementation, maintenance and surveillance

  • Experience with SAP (APEX/PRISM)

  • Strong presentation, communication, and professional skills and the ability to work independently and with some supervision and oversight – to include internal and external (USG, DCMA) communications

  • Proven analytical skills

  • Experience with Raytheon Program Management (PMX) Tool Suite

  • Experience with Estimate at Completes (EACs) and EDIT+

  • Experience with RPlan or other financial forecasting tools

  • Experience with accounting policies and processes (contract close-out, EACs, BSEC, etc.)

  • Experience with invoicing best practices or cancelling funds collections

Additional Information:

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
