Description
We are seeking a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in the Tucson area! In this role, you will be responsible for full cycle accounting for multiple clients, utilizing your knowledge of QuickBooks online and other accounting software. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Handle full cycle accounting for multiple clients
• Utilize QuickBooks Online for various accounting tasks
• Understand the connections between books and apply this knowledge for effective management
• Perform month-end close activities in a timely manner
• Prepare Journal Entries as per the business requirements
• Prepare financial statements with accuracy
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Conduct Bank Reconciliations on a regular basis
• Maintain the General Ledger with up-to-date information
Requirements
• Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role.
• Demonstrable proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferable.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Should be able to adhere to strict deadlines and handle pressure effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is a must.
• Must adhere to high ethical standards and demonstrate professional behavior at all times.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are crucial.
