Job Description
Our OJT (On-the-Job Training) Trainer plays a crucial role in the professional development of new and existing staff. This position involves designing, organizing, and delivering effective training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees in various airport roles. The trainer is responsible for assessing training needs, developing customized training materials, and conducting practical, hands-on training sessions in a real-world airport environment. They also monitor trainee progress, provide feedback and evaluations, and collaborate with management to align training with operational goals and standards. You will ensure that all staff are proficient in their duties, compliant with safety regulations, and capable of delivering high-quality service.
WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS AN OJ TRAINER

Develop and implement comprehensive on-the-job training programs for new hires and existing employees in alignment with company policies and procedures
Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements among airport personnel
Create training materials, manuals, and modules that are engaging, informative, and tailored to various job roles within the airport service company
Deliver effective training sessions in both classroom and hands-on settings, ensuring that employees acquire the necessary skills and knowledge
Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to trainees, offering guidance and support throughout their training period
You have a great attention to detail
You enjoy working with a team or individually to accomplish your tasks
Strong customer service skills
Like to build long term relationships with your customers
Physical activity may include:
Stand and walk for extended periods of time
Ability to lift 70 pounds or more
Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by terminal environment
Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
Qualifications
Minimum age of 18 years old
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents
Minimum of 3 years of experience in training and development
Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies
Strong communication and presentation skills
Experience in the aviation industry or airport operations
Proficiency in creating and using training aids and materials
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and tablets
Ability to pass a drug screen
Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
