POSITION SUMMARY
Are you ready to elevate your architectural career to new heights? System One is seeking a talented Architect for one of our clients to join their dynamic architecture team. In this role, you will oversee and plan all architectural aspects of building design and construction projects, employing industry-standard concepts, practices, and procedures. You will coordinate with associated engineering disciplines, perform a variety of complex tasks, and rely on your extensive experience and judgment to achieve project goals. This position offers a wide degree of creativity and latitude, requiring you to oversee entire projects through the architectural design and document production process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Interact with clients to coordinate project and program requirements.
Make decisions on significant architectural design problems and methods.
Regularly interpret and apply relevant codes, criteria, jurisdictional, or other project factors into project documentation.
Actively supervise project budgets, schedules, programs, communications, documentation, and team assignments to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely project execution.
Interface with other in-house project disciplines to ensure cohesive and coordinated design documentation and solutions.
Estimate or oversee the development of design fees and determine the scope of work in preparation of proposals and contracts for assigned projects.
Coordinate and assemble accurate project specifications.
Work closely with the Quality Control Manager to ensure projects meet standards and accuracy.
Participate in client presentations before or during project delivery.
Perform project or program management on selected projects or programs as needed.
Participate in marketing and employee recruitment activities.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Familiarity with current design trends, materials, detailing, and construction practices.
Working and/or advanced knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD software preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively internally and externally.
Working knowledge of SketchUp and associated rendering software.
Knowledge in sustainable design practices and/or LEED rating system.
Experience using Outlook and other MS Office software.
