Idaho Central Credit Union Business Development Intern - Magic Valley in Twin Falls, Idaho

The BD intern will be responsible for providing administrative support to the business development, communications, and events teams. They will assist with the planning, organization, and execution of events and day to day activities and will be subject to a multitude of responsibilities and tasks. The intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the behind-the-scenes aspects of event production processes, communication, business administration, special events management and strategic partnerships. Work collaboratively with BD team on event planning, execution, and fulfillment of events.

  • Problem solving and decision making skills

  • Handle daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of department activities

  • Setup, take down, and work events to facilitate their success

  • Update spreadsheets, databases, and inventories

  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating events and supplies

  • Completing general tasks from PR director or BD manager

High school graduate or GED and current enrollment in college coursework. Detail oriented and organized. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work under pressure and within tight deadlines. Ability to problem solve independently and in a team environment. Willing to assist the Business Development team with all events as far as gathering all items needed for each event, event set up, event take down and help run the event items that we have on location. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule with evening and weekend hours, must have a valid driver’s license to operate our Green Machine. Willing to drive Green Machine as needed to and from events. Must be professional and courteous in manner, with a focus on details, attendance, quality and quantity of work performed.

Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union. Ability to maintain confidentiality of credit union and member records at all times.

Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.) Sit and stand for extended periods of time. Lift 70-80 pounds (items include money machine, coolers, tables, other miscellaneous equipment). Extensive local travel, this is a driving position and a company vehicle is provided. Adequate auto insurance for driving while conducting company business. Maintain a valid drivers license. Repetitive motion using wrists, and fingers. Reach keyboards. Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).

Must be eligible for membership at Idaho Central Credit Union to obtain employment.
