JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Schreyer Honors College is seeking an Admissions Assistant to support the admission team by performing a variety of tasks spanning running of the office, guiding prospective students and their parents through the admissions process by answering questions and providing a variety of resources and information. The position will also assist the team with application processing and review.

  • Guide prospective students through admissions procedures and troubleshoot processes relating to the application.

  • Provide enrollment information and resources to prospective students and parents.

  • Check various systems to provide application status/update.

  • Review, analyze, assess, and process information including transcripts and applications to determine eligibility for admission.

  • May a ssist with the testing and/or training of new processes.

  • review SRARS and read applications. Index letters of recommendation to Docfinity.

  • Plan, organize, support, and coordinate daily office activities and administrative processes.

  • Greet visitors and provide information; review, respond to, and direct inquiries.

  • Coordinate meeting logistics including scheduling, material preparation, and agendas.

  • Collect, organize, research, and analyze information and data to prepare reports, presentations, summaries, contracts, and proposals.

  • Create and maintain files and databases.

  • Monitor and maintain budget, process financial transactions, track expenditures.

  • Maintain inventory of publications and swag.

  • Support and coordinate special events; reserve spaces, develop itineraries, prepare materials, coordinate work between teams, and serve as point of contact with vendors.

  • Provide support for scheduling, personal calendars, and travel arrangements.

  • May direct the work of other support staff, students, and wage payroll personnel.

  • Assist at admission events with check-in and responding to questions.

This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.

The pay range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$38,300.00 - $61,000.00
