JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a Customer Service Representative to assist in coordinating operations in conjunction with outside vendors , process financial transactions and aid in problem resolution of unusual situations. This position will work 10 hours per day, four days per week, with a 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. schedule Wednesday - Saturday. Hours and days will be subject to change based on event needs and may change during the summer months. Mandatory overtime will be required for home football Saturdays and student arrival. This position will require a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (with or without reasonable accommodations) and work outdoors on their feet in all weather conditions. Transportation Services is committed to creating a sense of belonging and investing in the professional development of all team members. This position will be responsible for:

  • Serve as first-line liaison for internal and external customers (guests, clients, faculty, staff, students, vendors, etc.)

  • Assist in coordinating the activities of outside vendors/companies in support of operations

  • Respond and refer customer questions and/or needs, provide appropriate response/service for situation; refer to other department(s)/unit(s)

  • Correspond with a diverse customer base in person, by phone, email, or regular mail

  • Process a variety of financial transactions and perform inventory activities

  • Investigate unusual situations or concerns and assist in problem resolution

  • Operate various equipment and computer systems

  • May assist in promoting products and/or services to internal and external customers

    Minimum requirements are a High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of relevant experience. Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The pay range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$34,800.00 - $50,500.00
