Job Description Summary

Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance. The goal is to ensure the smooth and cost-efficient flow of our production operations.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.

  • Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.

  • In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

  • A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

  • Manage high level projects for operations with end to end responsibilities including engineering, procurement & manufacturing plans, execution, internal customer management.

  • Lead projects after handover / Kickoff meeting until dispatch from factory and also manage the coordination for queries resolution coming from stakeholders.

  • Providing 100% material visibility and tracking across the organization and Same way Production Jobs movements

  • Along with delivering on the business goals, role includes incorporating best planning practices and tools (MSP/MTA/ PMX Scheduling/ MRP II planning etc.)

  • Understand concepts, methods and procedures to enable project execution for Factory operations

  • Take initiatives & propose cost reductions, Lead-time reduction, lean etc

  • Work across factory teams and in tandem with Engineering, Shop, MMI, Process specialists, Quality (Shop + Supplier), Purchase & Logistics teams for timely supplies.

  • Inventory / Inflow management and develop dynamic supply chain system

  • Co-Ordination with Supply chain Management & Production for the project status · MRP Engine run for the production order generation and Purchase requisition generation · Shop floor load planning · Forecasting of Risk in the project as per current schedule

  • Lead Master production Schedule and S&OP

  • Based on forecast Load planning and factory capacity connect with tendering team for future orders

  • Measure the OTD & Tracking order overdue reporting

Required Qualifications

  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires advanced experience in the Manufacturing & Materials Planning and Execution. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

  • For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
