What you'll do...
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ammonia and Refrigeration Tech II-Manufacturing to join our team. As an Ammonia and Refrigeration Tech II-Manufacturing, you will be responsible for assisting in the repair and maintenance of equipment, diagnosing refrigeration and electrical problems, and ensuring the safety and compliance of plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the repair and maintenance of equipment, including lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, electronic, and electrical equipment.
Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.
Diagnose refrigeration and electrical problems using technical drawings, electronic/mechanical schematics, and diagnostic tools.
Troubleshoot and repair complex ammonia refrigeration system problems with equipment logic controls and external Input/Output (IO) devices.
Operate refrigeration system equipment, including compressors and fan units.
Monitor system performance, adjust controls to maintain necessary system parameters, and manage equipment to filter and purify water.
Ensure the safety and compliance of plant operations.
Run tests, identify faults, and apply corrective measures as needed.
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on refrigeration system equipment, following original equipment manufacturer instructions and standard operating procedures.
Clean or prevent issues pertaining to hazardous materials as a member of the HazMat team.
Monitor work areas for safety concerns and take appropriate action as needed.
Complete work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents using established procedures.
Lead and participate in teams, using and sharing resources, information, and tools to determine customer needs and business priorities.
Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners.
Demonstrate, promote, and support compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in refrigeration, electrical, or mechanical field preferred.
2+ years of experience in refrigeration and electrical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of ammonia refrigeration systems and equipment.
Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme temperatures.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.

The hourly wage range for this position is $38.85-$40.85*
*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Minimum Qualifications...

18 years of age or older
Option 1: Trade/vocational school degree or certificate in industrial maintenance or similar area.
Option 2: 5 years’ experience in industrial refrigeration (for example, valve rebuilds, working with refrigeration systems).
Option 3: 7 years’ experience with HVAC.
Option 4: 7 years’ experience with wastewater treatment plants.
Option 5: 7 years’ experience in industrial maintenance.
RETA Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO).
Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a Class I or II Waster Water Operator (State Specific) within 30 months of job entry date.
