International Shoppes, located in Valley Stream, NY (Nassau County) has an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Bookkeeper. This position will play a cruciatl role in ensuring the accureate and timely processing of all financial transactions related to our Duty Free and Retail operations. A successful candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining the financial integrity of our operations.
Essential Responsibilites
Bank Statement Reconciliations
Credit Card Statement Reconciliations
General Ledge Account Reconciliations
Assist with Monthly Close
Recordkeeping
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and audits as needed
Backup to AP, AR and Sales Audit associates
Postion Requirments
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or related field is a plus
Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite a plus) and Microsoft Excel
2+ years of bookkeeping experience a plus
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in date entry
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
