Job Description
The Team Coordinator is a production employee that takes a leadership role within a specific area of operations. This role will instruct Operators on job tasks, complete tracking metrics, update KPI's, report causes for deviations and will participate in problem solving activities. The Team Coordinator will progressively lead and support their team’s production in all areas.
Job Responsibilities
Be available to fill in on the line when necessary
Coordinate and prioritize activities for the team
Keep information boards up-to-date daily
Audit colleagues on the line, drive 5S in the area
Should motivate and support employees throughout the day
Keep teams informed of production expectations, scheduling, and any other follow-up information as needed.
Ensure a safe working environment
Provide customers with a quality product
Uphold strict compliance with all Danfoss and Operations floor policies
Conduct daily shift meetings
Communicate with other shifts to ensure a smooth transition from one shift to another
Responsible for coaching colleagues on applications of standards and to increase skills
Responsible for training new employees
Tracking metrics and updating KPI’sIdentify weaknesses in operational processes and participate in continuous improvement activities
Background & Skills
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Assembly experience required
Ability to communicate verbally and understand written instructions
Ability to perform basic mathematics
Understands and can explain the 8 types of Waste and 10 Lean Principles
Knowledge of basic computer skills
