Job Summary
The HR Intern will support various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, and administrative tasks. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR, work with seasoned HR professionals, develop essential skills for a career in human resources, provide fresh HR ideas, and give recommendations to improve HR policies. Employees in this position will be required to maintain a positive, forthright attitude that promotes a collaborative, respectful, and diverse corporate culture, and conduct themselves professionally and favorably.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists with the recruitment process, including job descriptions, job requisitions, posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Supports the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing orientation materials and conducting orientation sessions.
- Maintains employee records and ensures data accuracy in HRIS systems.
- Assists with employee engagement initiatives and events.
- Provides administrative support to the HR team, including filing, data entry, and document management.
- Helps with the preparation of HR reports and presentations.
- Participates in HR projects, audits, and initiatives as needed.
- Provide a PowerPoint presentation at the end of the internship about what was learned during the internship.
