| reports, and keep appropriate records. |
| - Develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure and |
| maintain order in the classroom in a fair and just manner. |
| - Understanding the individual needs of students and how they |
| differ in their approaches to learning, create instructional |
| opportunities adapted to diverse learners and seek the assistance |
| of district specialists when appropriate. |
| - Understand how children learn and grow and provide learning |
| opportunities that support their development. |
| - Promote positive social interactions, active engagement in |
| learning, and self-motivation skills. |
| - Use knowledge of communication techniques to foster active |
| inquiry, collaboration, and supportive interaction. |
| - Plan instruction based on knowledge of subject matter, students, |
| the community, and curriculum goals or outcomes. |
| - Reflect on teaching for positive self-assessment. |
| - Foster relationships and communication with colleagues, parents, |
| and agencies in the larger community. |
| - Pursues professional growth opportunities such as attending |
| conferences, reading professional journals, and/or participating |
| in professional organizations and on-site professional |
| development. |
