Genesis Corp Engineer II,R+D Cybersecurity in Versailles, Ohio

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Engineer II,R+D Cybersecurity for a contract to hire position with a leading client in Versailles , OH. This position will be on-site 4 days per week. Candidates must be a USC or Green Card Holder and able to work on a W2 basis with Genesis10. Job Description: The Cybersecurity Systems Engineer II will use a systems approach to provide architecture definition to product development projects, develop cybersecurity system requirements, identify and specify critical interfaces, and ensure end products are suitable to meet the needs of their users. They will plan and execute cybersecurity design verification and validation to verify cybersecurity design requirements are met. The ideal candidate would have design experience within a specific engineering discipline (software, firmware, electrical, computer, systems, etc...) and familiarity with the design concerns of other engineering disciplines. Cybersecurity Systems Engineers are expected to work influentially by proactively identifying system design gaps and facilitating resolution among a diverse group of project stakeholders. Job Duties: Participates in creation of threat models and cybersecurity risk assessments. Leverages automated tools for generation and review of security artifacts such as software bill of materials, static and dynamic code security testing, and vulnerability management reports. Participates in incident response preparation and planning. Implements methods of estimating cybersecurity risks such as common vulnerability scoring system, common weakness scoring system, STRIDE, and other various methods. Applies quality management practices, regulatory requirements, and industry standards to client products. Identifies potential risks, reports them, and collaborates with experienced engineers. Influences change within discipline. Works on moderately complex engineering projects, follows best practices. Learns and applies new engineering techniques through mentored experience. Performs work under general supervision. Manages moderately complex issues and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Actively participates with ideas and questions. Makes decisions within assigned tasks under guidance and escalates appropriately. Collaborates on solutions and demonstrates creativity building on existing IP. Is aware of IP implications when creating or incorporating external technologies and applies IP protections as part of cybersecurity discipline. Analyzes processes and contributes to improvements. Provides onboarding assistance with new teammates. Mentors co-op and engineer I teammates, focusing on technical skills and cultural competencies. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in electrical, software, computer, or systems engineering and 2+ of experience, or equivalent combination of both is required. INCOSE ASEP or ISC2 CC certification is nice to have. Solid working knowledge of basic data collection and analysis skills to solve more complex issues Solid working knowledge of basic engineering tools and methods (i.e., use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG hardware debuggers, and other test equipment) Working knowledge of requirements management software tools (Jama, DOORS, or another tool) Working knowledge of Agile development methodology and use of tools (i.e., )Atlassian and Git) Working knowledge of cybersecurity risk-management processes and assessments Ability to apply critical thinking skills to identify root causes and propose solutions Working knowledge of systems modeling and analysis techniques Effective communication within the team and ability to escalate issues when needed Working knowledge of NIST cybersecurity framework and standards Working knowledge of FDA and ISO regulations and concepts
