ManTech Circuit Actions Technician III in United Arab Emirates

ManTech is looking for a Circuit Actions Technician III to support our contract with The United States (US) Central Command (CENTCOM).

Location: UAE

Work Hours required : 60 hours per week, 16hrs X 6 days a week and on call

This role requires an active DoD Secret clearance.

Ninth Air Force (9AF) (Air Forces Central) (AFCENT) is the air component of CENTCOM. AFCENT Directorate of Communications (AFCENT/A6) directly supports CENTCOM with combat-ready communications capabilities for forward deployed forces supporting Department of Defense (DOD) Missions and Operations.

General Responsibilities:

Provide TCF support. TCFs are part of the Defense Information Network, therefore, the contractor shall:

  • Perform installation, operations and maintenance of TCFs;

  • Perform TCF tasks IAW SPIN-C, DISA Circular 310-70-1 and DISA policies and procedures;

  • Fabricate, troubleshoot and repair interfaces on technical control equipment

  • Provide O&M of primary and auxiliary equipment to support TCF operations including

Circuit Actions

  • Perform circuit actions IAW DISA Circular 310-70-1 and 310-130-1;

  • Support day-to-day operations of the circuit management office and TCFs.

AOR Wide Circuit Actions

  • Prepare tactical request for service (TRFS) documents using the CENTCOM TRFS format and submit to CENTCOM/CCJO and the AFCENT/A6X CMO;

  • Prepare documents using the DISA Direct Store Front circuit provisioning system and submit them to DISA;

  • Update and maintain the AFCENT portion of the Mission-Essential Circuit List using the CENTCOM Command Communications Service Designator website on Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet);

  • Update and maintain link, trunk, circuit, and system diagrams for all AFCENT communications connectivity using Microsoft Visio;

  • Deploy to locations supporting the AFCENT AOR to engineer, install/de-install, test, and document circuits, IAW Telecommunications Service Order (TSO) or Tactical Telecommunications Service Order (TTSO) requirements;

Squadron Level Circuit Actions

  • Engineer, install, remove, perform Test & Acceptance (T&A), and document new circuits for the facility, per the TSO;

  • Prepare feeder requests for services for new requirements and forward to the appropriate agencies;

  • Prepare and update cut sheets;

  • Prepare after action reports and detail outage reports;

  • Maintain historical files, circuit history folders, and develop and maintain CLR’s;

  • Conduct monthly trend analysis.

Node Site Coordinator.

  • Perform Primary and Alternate Node Site Coordinator (NSC) duties as described in AFMAN 17-2101 and DIASC 310-55-9 for base level support of the DISN where DISN equipment resides.

  • Complete the DISA NSC training in accordance with DISAC 310-55-9.

Mandatory Requirements:

Education: High School diploma or GED

DoD 8570.01-Manual IAT Category/Specialty: IAT-II

Certification: CCNA

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in: installing new communications circuits; solving complex problems, understanding the interrelationships of circuits and ability to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment.

  • At least 5 years of experience in activating new TCF circuits within equipment: NET Promina; KG, KY, KIV and ancillaries; Cisco Routers/Switches; Patch panels/maintenance panels; fiber optic modems and interface cards; AND

  • At least 5 years of experience in circuit actions at the base, camp, station, MAJCOM, unified command or component level

Other Skills Preferred:

Bachelors Degree.

Prior experience working overseas
