Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Process Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to develop your skills with a top engineering consultancy working on complex process engineering projects .
What You'll Be Doing:
Process design of wastewater treatment and desalination plants.
Develop design criteria from analysis of water and wastewater process modelling data.
Preparation of process documents such as process calculations, PID, mass balance, hydraulic flow diagram, equipment data sheet, etc.
Development of drawings, BOQ, pricing, technical submittals, commercial submittals, tender documents, etc.
Assisting in the preparation of proposals for public and private sector clients.
Preparation of technical standards and specifications for water projects with respect to the local and international standards and requirements.
Provide detailed requisition for equipment and materials.
Works with vendors and contractors in obtaining the technical and commercial offers for equipment, plants, and services.
Review of bid submission and perform technical analysis.
Survey existing processes and examine site conditions as required to support the development and completion of projects.
Trouble shooting, identify bottle necks in the treatment facilities and propose innovative solutions to improve productivity and quality.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (or related field) and more than 5 years of related work experience.
Skilled in the design of domestic and industrial wastewater treatment plants.
Proficiency in using modelling software such as BioWin (or other similar software) .
Experienced in hydraulic flow calculations.
Demonstrable sound analytical problem-solving skills.
Expertise in the process design of various secondary treatment technologies such as ASP, SBR, MBBR, MBR, Constructed Wetland, etc.
Should have sound design knowledge of tertiary treatment and water reuse.
Experienced in the design of anaerobic digester, odour control units and biosolids treatment.
Good English language written and oral communication skills.
Familiarity with the state-of-the-art industry practices, regulations, and standards.
Prior experience in troubleshooting; proposes and implements solutions to problems encountered with process systems.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Experienced in the design of desalination plants using reverse osmosis for seawater and brackish water.
Experience in the operation & maintenance aspects of WWTPs and desalination plants.
Experienced in large scale (>300 MLD) WWTPs and desalination plants.
Experience in odour study including septicity analysis and dispersion modelling.
Arabic language skills.
