The Social Media Specialist is responsible for executing on the social media strategy created by the Sr. Manager, Social Media and Employee Engagement. They are responsible for carrying out social media activity, including scheduling, monitoring, engaging, and creating content for social media channels.

This role sits within the marketing organization under the Communications Team and reporting to the Sr. Manager, Social Media and Employee Engagement. The coordinator will execute social media activities across multiple platforms, currently X/Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook, Threads, TikTok, YouTube and Instagram. This role requires a fine balance of creativity and structure - always experimenting with new ideas but relying on results to drive future activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Eat, breathe, and sleep social media.

  • Consistently develop interesting, sharable and engaging social media posts to spread our brand, and our content and links.

  • Create engaging and shareable content tailored to each social media platform.

  • Curate relevant content from industry sources and user-generated content to supplement original posts.

  • Manage and maintain the organization's presence on various social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others.

  • Schedule and publish regular posts, ensuring consistency in brand messaging and tone.

  • Foster and grow the organization's online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions.

  • Encourage user-generated content and actively engage with followers to build relationships.

  • Work with influencers and partners to expand the organization's reach and impact.

  • Work alongside other marketers and content producers to help distribute content that engages our audience.

  • Create community engagement and build relationships within social media communities.

  • Ensure all community questions are addressed in a timely manner.

  • Active social listening and monitoring of social media channels for potential issues or crises and implement strategies to address them promptly.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, social media platform updates, and changes in algorithms.

  • Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and enhance the organization's social media presence.

Requirements:

  • Experience in growing and maintaining social media following

  • Solid understanding of social media platforms and trends

  • Previous experience managing social media for a tech company is a plus

  • Creative, collaborative, always ready for the next task

  • Enjoys being challenged on a daily basis

  • Interested in learning about B2B Marketing and learning different MarTech Tools

  • Fantastic communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong execution capability with the highest standards in a rapidly evolving business

  • Able to shift between working independently with little direction and collaboratively with direction

  • A self-starter who excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities.

  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions

  • Excellent command of English, with strong verbal communication skills and a focus on advanced writing abilities, specifically tailored for English-language social media platforms.
