This engineering group in the Oracle Health is focused on developing Next generation Enterprise Cloud solutions for our customers in life sciences and healthcare industries. The services we build will be central to the success of Oracle Health to support our customers assess market viability of new treatments, bring these treatments to market, and ensure the overall long-term wellness and safety of patients world-wide. Your work will be used by some of the biggest companies in the world, impacting millions of patients in our goal to achieve better health outcomes for everyone.
As a Senior Manager, Software development for Oracle Clinical One, the expectations would be:
Lead a team of engineers to design, build and maintain highly scalable and available services using technologies like, Java, OracleJet, Oracle DB, Docker and Kubernetes
Participate in design, architecture and code reviews across different work streams
Use agile methodologies and latest development techniques to plan, execute and deliver product releases and get involved in product backlog grooming and sprint planning
Hire, mentor and develop a strong team of engineers
Understand & enable which technology to use to solve a business problem and how systems and applications can be put together for better output, efficiency & user experience
Lead complex and strategic initiatives by collaborating with globally distributed engineering, product, operations and senior leadership teams
Qualifications:
BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent degree
12+ years of relevant experience with the following skills
Proven expertise in building multi-tenant, distributed cloud applications with robust architecture, design and development, focusing on high scalability and availability
Experience in hiring, engaging and retaining high performance teams
Excellent interpersonal skills, good with people, ability to negotiate
Good experience of working with globally distributed teams in a collaborative and productive manner
12+ years of overall experience out of which at least 5 years of leading and growing technical teams
Possess and demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills
Strong experience on product development using Java, JPA, Java Script fwks and Oracle Database with Cloud Based architecture
Experience with massively scalable systems is a plus
Experience working with clinical trial systems or life sciences area is a plus

As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture.
