Job Title: Regional Finance Director, Northern Europe

Location: Strasbourg, France

An exciting opportunity awaits within the esteemed Mars Petcare Division, Science and Diagnostics, specifically for our renowned Antech Diagnostics brand. We seek a dynamic Regional Finance Director to spearhead financial operations across our Northern European region, encompassing the UK, France, Belgium, Netherlands, and Scandinavia.

Role overview

As the Regional Finance Director, you will be based in Strasbourg and will embark on frequent travel to engage with key stakeholders across the region. Your primary objective will be to drive business growth and enhance processes during this exciting phase of market expansion. Leadership skills are essential as you will oversee a team and play a pivotal role in acquisitions, integrations, and implementing new processes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage financial activities for the Northern Europe region, navigating multiple entities.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements adhering to local and US-GAAP standards.

  • Serve as the primary contact for accounting matters within the entities.

  • Facilitate the integration of new companies into existing finance processes.

  • Monitor and manage SOX processes, budgeting, and cash flow.

  • Coordinate with external tax consultants on tax-related issues.

  • Act as the liaison for auditors, banks, and tax consultants.

Key skills and experience required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification.

  • CPA or equivalent certification.

  • Approximately 10 years of Financial Management experience with an international focus.

  • Fluency in English and French.

  • Proven track record in managing acquisitions and process integrations.

  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping, accounting, and tax law.

  • Experience in balance sheet preparation according to US-GAAP standards.

  • Proficiency in ERP/reporting systems and advanced Excel skills.

  • Exceptional communication abilities.

  • Strong self-initiative and affinity for numbers.

Work Experience
