GoTo UX Researcher in Hungary

You'll collaborate closely with Product Design, Engineering, and Product Management trios through impact-focused research studies to drive awareness of user needs, pain points, and opportunities. We team up to create user-centered and accessible products for which your contribution is invaluable.

If you're a proactive, experienced, and self-governing UX Researcher look no further, GoTo's IT business line needs you to serve emerging markets. You’ll actively direct UX research activities, creating and executing research plans, and delivering key insights that support our strategic decision-making. In this role, you'll conduct interviews and usability studies, facilitate workshops under the IT portfolio, and partner with GoTo's other researchers to drive awareness of users - pushing for best practices. You’ll be delivering insights to complex problems, working with your trio who appreciate research findings and want to build the best products available on the SaaS market.

Your Day to Day:

  • Apply impact-focused approach to planning, conduct and communicate research studies focused on user behaviour, use-cases, workflows, and opportunities for innovation.

  • Support roadmaps by conducting research on user goals, needs and mental models, and usability testing solution ideas.

  • Improve our research participant recruitment process by collaborating closely with Customer Success and Marketing teams.

  • Develop and curate knowledge about our customers, users and the products; update and be current with changes in user behaviour on the IT SaaS competitive landscape.

  • Develop a clear understanding of IT community – informing research direction and identifying disruption potential.

  • Educate the cross-functional team upfront through readouts, workshops, and presentations and spontaneously in operative conversations.

What We´re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of SaaS experience in driving research in a lean, agile, and delivery-focused environment.

  • Ability to create research plans and deliver key insights through user interviews, identifying JTBDs, and defining personas.

  • Skills to facilitate Design Thinking workshops with cross-functional participation as a resident researcher within a SaaS team.

  • Identify research opportunities and contribute to the research roadmap so that the work balances strategic and tactical feedback.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to innovate coupled with strong self-governing abilities.

  • Excellent knowledge of qualitative research best practices and approaches.

  • Education - Degree in Communications, Cognitive Psychology, HCD/Computer Science, Sociology, Economics, Statistics, or other field emphasizing qualitative analysis of human behaviour or equivalent experience.
