Vectrus Wash Rack Supervisor in Kuwait

Overview

This position will be physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP

Reports to the Sr. Retrograde Manager. Responsible for the oversight of the Wash Rack daily Operations (Arifjan, Buehring, KNB,SPOD) to include performing technical work (e.g.,Minor Pluming, Operation of water reclaim system).

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

  • Using a good working knowledge of Wash Rack Operations, Quality, Environmental and Safety programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines, and an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced.

  • Plan, organize and coordinate workloads to optimize use of resources to include personnel, equipment, tools and facilities.

  • Establishes programs to meet normal and contingency mission requirements.

  • Prepares, analyzes and briefs reports as required. Recommends solutions to problems indicated by analysis of trends, indicators, potential Risk or those identified by management and/or the government.

  • Ensures all required reports are submitted accurately and on time.

  • Provides Supervisory direction and oversight to include overseeing day to day wash rack operations. This may include but not limited to maintenance and cleaning of the wash area and equipment.

  • Works with and in conjunction with other departments to accomplish all required tasks.

  • Monitors and evaluates work performance of the employees to ensure they are in compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and all regulations pertaining to their assigned duties.

  • Ensures that employees are always in compliance with established Safety Policies and Regulation and fully participating in Company accident prevention and safety improvement activities

  • Ensures safeguarding of all Army property and equipment.

  • Implements Work Performance Training when required.

  • May be required to work an uncommon schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Must be able to work extended hours and evenings, as mission requires.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications/Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience

  • Valid US Driver's License and ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator's License and host nation Driver's License, is required

  • Must be CAC Eligible and be able to pass a National Agency Check with inquires (NACI)

  • Must be able to maintain USG Network access

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years specialized experience in wash rack operations.

  • Must have served in position of increased responsibility encompassing program planning and supervisory experience.

  • Skills:

  • Must have working knowledge of wash rack Operations

  • Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and storage requirements to meet compatibility of products based on hazard class is required.

  • Leadership and management skills, including a professional demeanor, are required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills are required.

  • Ability to exercise discretion and good judgement is required.

  • Ability to prioritized responsibilities to handle a demanding workload is required.

  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy is required.

  • Advance ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written form is required.

  • High-level organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managed and accurate is required.

  • Basic proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook and ALL Microsoft applications is required.

  • Must be able to learn and operate ARMY AIS systems

  • Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to manage hours of personnel including use of overtime for mission requirements and to the best interest of Vectrus.

  • Working Conditions:

  • Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months). Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Medium and up to Heavy work. Exerting up to 50 pounds to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.

  • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.

  • Required to observe all safety, security, fire, environmental, and health requirements for Retrograde/Warehouse Operations and outside environment.
