Job Description
As the Oracle MAA-PE Operations System Administrator, you will be providing Infrastructure support such as imaging, patching, monitoring, system security and maintain tools on Exadata and Oracle hardware platform.
Act as technical liaison for our technical teams. champion standardization, innovate to simplify, increase efficiency while driving down cost. Ensure that the team are delivering quality services and that all SLAs are being met. You will need to understand all aspects of the equipment you support and provide a professional and customer focused service.

Responsibilities
Candidates should have:
Degree-level education in one of the following disciplines: [Computer Science / Management Information Systems / Science / Engineering / Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry ]
Be able to demonstrate relevant Industry experience of at least 5 years.
Excellent System Admin skills in Linux/Unix including commands and shell scripting. OEL/Redhat preferred.
Strong analytical/troubleshooting skills supporting the OS, Storage and Hardware for Applications platforms and Database
Some NAS and/or SAN Storage administration experience
Some understanding of fundamental Network concepts (e.g. Routing, DNS, Firewalls)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
The ability to work both independently and with members of a global team without close supervision
Experience in supporting cloud-base infrastructure a plus (e.g. Oracle OCI Platform)
Terraform, Kubernetes, Ansible, Puppet, and other automation skills are a plus
A minimum of 3 years experience and advanced skills in several of the areas listed below:
Core OS Services: SSH, SFTP, NFS, DNS, DHCP, LDAP,
Scripting in Python or bash
Proficient in managing Virtualization technology, KVM preferred
Supporting X86 based technology, including fundamental hardware triage skills. Understanding Monitoring and diagnostics to maintain equipment health and reacting appropriately
Using Change Control tools to manage the site-service workflow
Exposure to Exadata or RAC is desirable
Key filesystem concepts – Ext, NFS, HW RAID and SCSI
Experience in performance monitoring and capacity management
Essential awareness of operations in a secure environment
Backup/Restore operations
Nice to have installation or administration on Oracle/MySQL Database experiences
Basic SQL query and Oracle APEX are a plus
