Intel Global Supply Chain Execution and Logistics Leader in Malaysia

Job Description

  • Leads and guides a global team of supply chain planning staff to ensure that adequate supply is available to meet customer demand, support revenue, and/or warranty targets.

  • Drives the development and implementation of company's support function through supply chain planning/coordination, while driving results across boundaries.

  • Leads development of production plans in adherence to the company's budget and deadlines and drives supply chain issues and system gaps to resolution.

  • Develops a standard planning process mechanism and leads integration and delivery of the end-to-end supply chain planning processes for internal and external customers.

  • Drives continuous improvement using lean methodology to streamline processes in the supply chain planning area for revenue and/or warranty targets.

  • Positions supply and inventory to meet supply chain objectives and communicate items such as, but not limited to, revenue and/or warranty plan risks, and opportunities to senior leadership to influence key business decisions.

  • Responsible for enabling teams to execute through clear goal setting, facilitating work, maintaining accountability, applying differentiated performance management, and driving team results.

  • Drives results by inspiring people, role modeling Intel values, developing the capabilities of others, and ensuring a productive work environment.

Qualifications

As Altera's Global Supply Chain Execution and Logistics Leader, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Provide leadership and management of forward logistics operations, reverse logistics operations, and supply plan execution.

  • Develops, optimizes, coordinates, and drives execution of supply chain planning schedules, forecasts, materials, build plan and capacity requirements, business and inventory strategies to meet customer requirements for supply chain areas such as, but not limited to revenue and/or warranty demands.

  • Influences and recommends issue resolution strategies in supply chain planning area.

  • Resolves inventory issues, such as the depth, timing, and efficient flow of inventory, which support short term as well as long term business objectives.

  • Understands and applies thorough knowledge of demand, revenue, and/or warranty opportunities with no supply, demand at risk or other contingency scenarios to influence key business decisions.

  • Plans, prepares, issues and controls supply chain schedules and materials requirements.

  • Coordinates with suppliers to ensure seamless material management.

  • Evaluates supply chain capacity needs and capabilities to support business strategies.

  • Design regional transportation strategies to optimize total cost, capacity, quality, visibility, sustainability, and compliance across all modes, end-to-end.

  • Conduct RFQs and lead negotiations and master services agreement developments.

  • Conduct regular business reviews and establish continuous improvement and mitigation plans for all key logistics and warehouse partners.

  • Define and monitor applicable KPIs to track the health of the logistics ecosystem.

  • Monitor key logistics metrics and implements best practices to ensure that all operational activities adhere to laws, guidelines, and PSG's standard requirements.

  • Report progress against agreed schedule, scope, cost, and quality constraints to senior leaders on a regular basis.

  • Provide robust reporting and business intelligence for global logistics team, senior management, and other internal stakeholders.

  • Manage suppliers for the storage or movement of inbound, interplant, and outbound material, equipment, and finished goods.

  • Monitor and benchmark supplier services against the service level agreement.

  • Guide suppliers to evolve their service levels in line with Altera requirements.

  • Gather data on existing processes from partners, stakeholders, customers and analyzes it to discover areas of defects, inefficiencies, or escalations.

  • Track and resolve shipping, warehouse, and carrier shipping errors, as well as logistics exceptions.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to assure the most efficient delivery of products to customers.

  • Utilize analytical and advanced technology skills to develop logistics solutions that drive Altera's business execution optimally.

  • Build solid relationships with cross-functional teams and logistics service providers, ensuring smooth process flow and collaboration.

  • Manage critical escalations arising in the logistics network such that there is minimal impact on customer service.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • At least 15 years of global supply planning and logistics experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.

  • Demonstrated experience managing logistics spend, developing processes, managing suppliers, and driving compliance, savings, and process efficiency.

  • Strong experience with 3PLs and 4PLs including sourcing, negotiation, and contract development with favorable terms and SLAs.

  • Demonstrated strong understanding of pricing models, KPIs and contracts across all modes.

  • Proven ability to apply independent business judgment and demonstrate influence to drive strategy and achieve results.

  • Ability to communicate with multifunctional stakeholders including supply chain leaders, leadership, and suppliers.

  • High energy and dynamic, with strong interpersonal skills

  • Reputation as a leader that can set a clear vision for a global supply chain teams to achieve organizational goals based on understanding of company's mission and objectives.

  • Experience working with business leaders, suppliers, and partners in navigating business and environmental changes by recommending realistic solutions which enable the organization to maintain progress towards strategic growth objectives.

  • A global mindset and demonstrated experience advising on international strategies related to supply chain execution and logistics operations.

  • Experience building and leading high performing. This includes recruiting, mentoring, and developing supply chain professionals to ensure the team's success.

In Q4 2023, Intel announced Altera will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024 with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.
