We also have a separate product team, Shape Construction, that takes the deep understanding of the projects we work on to develop construction management software products.

The Role

 

Purpose of the role 

We are seeking a passionate and analytical People Operations Manager who thrives in a vibrant, fast-paced environment. This pivotal role reports directly to the People Ops Director and will be responsible for partnering with business leaders in developing and executing a plan for our people initiatives that align and support business initiatives and overall People Ops strategy.

In our People Operations team, we are the backbone that empowers every member of the organization to excel and thrive.  

As stewards of the organization's culture and agents of change, we ensure that our strategies not only support but actively drive business objectives, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and exceptional performance. Your role within this team will be pivotal, reporting directly to the People Ops Director, you will play a critical role in sculpting the operational excellence and people-centric culture that defines us.

Your top 5 responsibilities 

  • Work on core complex People Operations processes: you will be pivotal in conducting roadmap analyses, market research, global compensation and benefits benchmarking and evaluate strategic tool/process replacements, prepare decision-making reports, maintain project direction, and ensure a smooth handover with a robust operational plan  

  • Improve systems: You will have the opportunity to evaluate and recommend enhancements to HRIS functionality as needed to drive efficiency and automation in our processes. You’ll help us do things in a better and more data-driven way 

  • Report and inform: You will employ your comprehensive understanding of the HR Systems Landscape, their functionalities, and their interconnections, to support our People Systems provide simple actionable reports to help stakeholders deliver efficiently and effectively. Develop and monitor KPIs. 

  • Make scalable solutions: Develop scalable and repeatable best practices and tools in collaboration with the team so that long-term impact is achieved 

  • Develop everyone: Maximise the development of your team personally and professionally and educate our team to improve as well 

     

Your Capabilities 

You will be a seasoned People Operations professional with strong analytical skills to interpret data and trends, excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact at all organizational levels. You will effortlessly transition between roles of leader and executor. 

As a candidate, you should have: 

  • Must-Have (The fundamentals) 

  • Mastery: Demonstrated expertise in global compensation and benefits benchmarking. Proven track record in People Operations, with over 5 years of HR experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

  • Communication: Precise and structured communicator both written and verbal in English 

  • Leadership: Desire to, and the ability to, work in a highly collaborative yet fully distributed, global team environment 

  • Impact: Strong desire to solve tough problems and share learnings with others 

     

  • Nice to Have (If you don’t have it now you will after joining) 

  • Mastery: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends 

  • Communication: Precise and structured communicator both written and verbal 

  • Leadership: Ability to successfully work autonomously and with self-motivation and self-direction 

  • Impact: A track record of implementing scalable and repeatable solutions in projects and organisations that had a significant positive impact
