Vectrus Aircraft Electrician in Saudi Arabia

Overview

Executes responsibilities as an aircraft Electrician, undertaking unit-level maintenance on aircraft electrical, navigational, and avionics components. Conducts maintenance on the aircraft's electrical components following specific directives outlined in the aircraft Operators Manual, Maintenance Test Flight Manual, aircraft Check List Manual, and any customer or specific directives. Identifies and rectifies malfunctions in aircraft systems and components, including solid-state and transistorized devices, in accordance with the relevant technical manuals, directives, and safety procedures. Utilizes common measuring tools, precision measuring tools, and alignment fixtures for the specified tasks. Conducts operational checks on aircraft electrical systems and tests, troubleshoots, and repairs aircraft electrical systems test sets and diagnostic equipment. Assists the Customer in requisitioning and maintaining Shop and Bench stock items for the repair of aircraft avionics systems and avionics instruments. Engages in operator maintenance for common and special tools, Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (AGSE), and Power Ground Support Equipment (PGSE). Prepares detailed aircraft maintenance forms and records while ensuring that all associated operations prioritize safety.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that aircraft electrical maintenance functional activities and procedures among designated organizations are planned, coordinated, integrated, and synchronized to achieve established platform operational readiness (OR) rates IAW contractual requirements.

  • Responsible for the compliance with established maintenance systems, processes, procedures and reports that provide immediate situational awareness of platform OR rates.

  • Establishes daily aircraft electrical maintenance operational goals, objectives and priorities for implementation in-order to achieve stated OR rates.

  • Oversees the daily aircraft electrical maintenance management of individually assigned aircraft in support of the Production Control (PC) Manager, in conjunction with the Aviation Logistics for related platform parts and spares.

  • Works within the maintenance quality control processes, procedures, and standards.

  • Directs inquires, investigations, and research analysis related to aviation electrical maintenance of the aircraft and supporting maintenance activities to the PC Manager.

  • Coordinates activities and requirements for maintenance operations support with the PC Manager.

  • Coordinates through Production Control for daily and weekly maintenance training activities.

  • In coordination with the PC and Flight Operations Managers, supports the Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART) processes and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Responsible to Maintenance Manager through lead trainer for compliance with established maintenance systems, processes, procedures and reports that provide immediate situational awareness of platform OR rates.

  • Oversees the daily maintenance training management of individually assigned aircraft in support of the Aviation Maintenance Manager, in conjunction with the Aviation Logistics and Supply Division Manager activities for related platform parts and spares.

  • Works within the maintenance quality control processes, procedures, and standards.

  • Ensures all maintenance operations and related maintenance support activities are conducted in a safe manner.

  • Supports, in coordination with the Maintenance Manager and Flight Operations Manager, the Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART) process and procedure.

  • Other duties as assigned and or directed by management.

  • Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods.

  • Authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma required.

  • · Associate’s Degree or equivalent training and experience preferred.

  • · FAA A&P certificate.

  • · Five (5) years’ experience as an AH-64E, UH-60M, OH-58D aircraft electrician.

  • Experience requirements:

  • · Five (5) years’ experience performing as an aircraft electrician.

  • · Qualified by the appropriate USG armed forces aircraft electrician maintenance course or civilian equivalent required.

  • · Graduate of a US Military aircraft electrician maintenance course or civilian equivalent.

  • · Previous experience in unit level electrical repairs on the supported aircraft.

  • · Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms, and other aircraft related documentation.

  • · Proficient in MS Office software.

  • · Professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • · Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner.

  • · Possess a valid US issued driver’s license and passport.

  • · Successfully pass an overseas deployment physical upon hire. DD214 required for military experience.

  • · Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include medical, drug testing, background checks, etc.

  • · Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a military maintenance unit.

  • · Strong knowledge of military logistics procedures and regulations.
