Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

Government Property Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing, evaluating and processing all logistics-related matters. The candidate supervises or performs duties involving requests, receipt, storage, issue, accountability and preservation of individual, organizational, installation and expendable supplies and equipment; receives, inspects, inventories, loads, unloads, segregates, stores, issues, delivers and returns organization and installation supplies and equipment. Operate unit level computers (ULC). Prepares all supply documents. Maintain automated supply system for accounting of all supplies and equipment. Issues and receives small arms. Secures and controls weapons and ammunition in security areas. Schedules and performs preventive and organizational maintenance on weapons. Provide technical guidance to lower-grade personnel. Coordinates supply activities. Reviews and annotates changes to unit material condition status report. Individual is responsible for posting all transactions to property books and supporting documents files. Coordinates with departments to ensure that equipment and supplies are available and ready for maintenance requirements. Ensure critical assets are on hand or ordered. Monitors all sensitive items and unit inventories. Responsible for managing the Supply Discipline Program. Develops and post inventories schedules to ensure compliance. Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly reports sent to management. Initiates Financial Liability Investigations of Property Loss (FLIPL). Performs operator duties and unit level maintenance functions on assigned computer systems and equipment. Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.

TYPICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Position may be located in a wide variety of environments, from conventional indoor office workspace to project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions.

To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions.

Position requires the basic skills and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.

TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and thirteen (13) years to sixteen (16) years related experience. Requires computer skills and proficiency using email, Microsoft Office or specialized applications as necessary to perform assigned job functions. Experience working within Global Combat Support System (GCSS-Army) is a must.
