Job Description

Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), a member of the Texas A&M University System, welcomes applicants for a/an Clinical Assistant Professor of Communication Sciences & Disorders to begin Spring 2025.

This is a full-time, non-tenure track, 9-month appointment. Primary duties will include teach assigned speech-language pathology courses; supervise student clinical experiences; evaluate students' progress in course work and clinical experiences; complete all administrative aspects of courses taught; advise students throughout their program of studies, as appropriate; serve on and participate in college and university committees; completing other duties as assigned by the department chair. Duties also include evaluate course/program curriculum; develop and maintain partnerships in the community; and engage in other activities to serve the profession. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.

Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate must hold a earned Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited institution of higher education; five (5) years of clinical experience with pediatric and/or adult clients; hold or able to obtain a Texas license for speech-language pathology; and ASHA certification. A valid, unencumbered license and certification is required as a condition of employment. We strongly encourage candidates with earned doctorate in Communication Sciences and Disorders; and one (1) or more years of teaching experience in higher education.
