We're seeking a highly motivated LMS Implementation Specialist to spearhead the integration of D2L/Brightspace, a powerful learning management system, into our organization. In this remote-friendly role, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of learning within our company. You'll not only oversee the seamless transition to the new platform, but also ensure its smooth integration with existing tools and systems. Responsibilities: Implementation of New LMS (Desire2Learn - D2L/Brightspace)
Lead the implementation process of the new LMS platform, ensuring a smooth transition from the existing system to D2L/Brightspace.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to define implementation timelines, requirements, and objectives.
Participate in implementation meetings with D2L/Brightspace and other vendors as necessary
Integration with UKG:
Facilitate the integration between the new LMS and UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) systems to enable seamless data exchange and functionality between platforms.
Work closely with technical teams to configure integration settings and ensure data integrity.
Integration of Vendor eLearning Courses:
Coordinate the integration of eLearning courses from external vendors into the new LMS platform.
Liaise with vendors to establish compatibility and troubleshoot any integration issues.
Migration of Existing Courses:
Oversee the migration of existing courses and learning content from the current LMS to D2L/Brightspace.
Develop migration plans and execute data transfer activities with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
Importing, Configuring, and Testing SCORM/AICC Content Packages:
Import SCORM/AICC content packages into the new LMS and configure settings to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.
Conduct thorough testing of imported content to validate functionality and troubleshoot any issues.
Configuration and Customization of the LMS:
Customize the LMS according to organizational requirements, including user permissions, reporting structures, and other administrative settings.
Provide training and support to users on navigating the customized LMS interface.
Required Qualifications:
Estimated hours: Min. 250 hours over 12 weeks. Average 20 hours/week
Proven experience in implementing and configuring D2L/Brightspace LMS.
Familiarity with UKG integration and experience in facilitating system integrations.
Experience in integrating vendor eLearning courses into LMS platforms.
Proficiency in migrating courses and content between LMS systems.
Ability to import, configure, and test SCORM/AICC content packages.
Strong understanding of LMS configuration, including user permissions and reporting functionalities.
