You work closely with functions and business units to develop roadmaps and to plan agreed-to outcomes. In this role, you ensure that commitments are met, and serve as the point of contact for Mondelēz International Digital Services.

How you will contribute

As the Project ARISE Data Management Transformation Leader you are a member of the Mondelēz Digital Services (MDS), Data Management organization. You will assume a pivotal leadership role on this multi-year program, specifically in defining and delivering a complex master data transformation for the US market, and ensure there is a common approach and alignment across various business functions. The transformation will require very strong partnership with Business, multiple MDS teams and senior leaders. You will understand and address the biggest master data opportunities across internal & external data sources, data creation processes, data governance and data consumptions in Mondelēz data lake environment. Your contribution will be fundamental to the success of Project ARISE, and the US business unit in the long run.

Job Responsibilities

Work with the key business partners to identify important business use cases and their respective master data domains to map out the master data strategy and execution plan Help Business define strategy and execution plan for Product & Customer Hierarchies across multiple data sources in scope (SAP, FIT, Nielsen, etc.) and partner within MDS (Enterprise Architects, Data Management) to define the right process & technology.

  • Define and own E2E Master Data Plan required to deliver business objectives. This includes all master data domains and data sources required by the Project.

  • Define resourcing and budget needs to deliver the aligned E2E Master Data Plan.

  • Partner with global Data Management Transformation & Governance teams to bring required capabilities and resources to deliver the E2E Master Data Plan for the Project (e.g. Certified Master Data Lake, SAP PLM, SAP MDG, Data Quality capabilities, etc.).

  • Partner with S4 HANA transformation team to align timings and scope to be delivered under Project ARISE vs. S4 HANA.

  • Provide strategic input to the Regional Data Management Leader on any requirements towards master data operations processes and organization, to support the E2E Plan.

  • Consult and help the Business Sr. Director of Data Management to establish data governance and data management practices within the business functions, in line with the framework owned by the Data Governance Office. This includes definition of data standards and data quality rules to be applied.

  • Serve as a bridge between Business Sr. Director of Data Management and Master Data Management experts in MDS to ensure Policies, Standards and best practices are consistent.

  • Effective stakeholder engagement to proactively identify risks/issues or any dependencies as they arise though the project lifecycle.

  • Partner with the Business Sr. Director of Data Management to elevate and provide critical inputs in support of their efforts to align master data across all involved functionsknowledge, Experience and Education

  • Extensive experience in data management (7+ years), including at least 3 years in transformation leadership role(s)

  • Good understanding of Data & Analytics and data lake environments, especially as it pertains to master data harmonization to enable data products.

  • Good understanding of AI, especially in the context of data management and quality practices required to leverage AI

  • Proven experience in establishing and operationalizing data management capabilities in a complex project environment

  • Good understanding of the unique needs of business in marketing, sales, insights, and customer teams

  • Good understanding of master data hierarchies in CPG industry (fixed structures and attribute based) and hierarchy management solutions.

  • Good working knowledge of syndicated data in the CPG industry such as Nielsen, IRI, retail POS etc. Profound knowledge of data management principles, practices, and technologies designed to meet the cumulative requirements of multiple business unit constituents.

  • Project management experience and a proven track record of successful projects delivered.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CDMP, CDP, DAMA) are a plus.
