The Director of Competitive Intelligence will be responsible for designing, developing, leading, and owning the competitive intelligence (CI) program at Sprinklr, inclusive of strategies for the customer experience management (CXM) category. They will lead competitive intelligence at Sprinklr, equipping the sales and marketing teams with assets and artifacts needed to understand the competitive landscape. They will be responsible for preparing sales with targeted intelligence on key competitors and market dynamics, as well as owning data analytics to measure Sprinklr’s success in competitive selling situations. They will develop insights related to Sprinklr's competitors, and the environment in which competition unfolds, and build and execute on a strategy to effectively position Sprinklr. Ideally, they will have significant exposure to or experience in Marketing and/or Product Marketing.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a bias for self-service, taking ownership and initiative for the CI Program which should include competitive sales tools, win / loss breakdowns, analyst relations research, SWOT analyses, and campaign consultancy, among others.
This role is highly cross-functional. In addition to collaborating with the Marketing team, this role will work closely with Sales, Success, and Product Management teams. We’re looking for someone that is strategic and also wants to dive in and analyze features, capabilities, and platforms at a capability level.
This role will report to the Senior Director of Platform Product Marketing and can be fully remote or based out of our New York or San Francisco offices.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Serve as a trusted industry expert and provide reports on market trends and competitor developments
Create “Field-ready” deliverables
Gather, synthesize and communicate competitive win/loss reports
Support Sprinklr’s competitive positioning within the Analyst community including participation in Forrester Waves™ and Gartner Magic Quadrants™
Develop competitive social listening and benchmarking dashboards and establish alerting/escalation processes for senior leadership
Serve as a cross-functional partner and key point of contact for any competitive and market data sought by product, operations, finance, and marketing teams
10+ years experience in competitive or market intelligence, corporate strategy, consulting, or equity research
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree strongly preferred.
Passion for working in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, and demonstrated success working closely with senior executive leaders
Ability to work both independently and lead cross-functional teams
Strategic thinker able to synthesize insights from disparate data sources, and clearly communicate complex findings to focus on critical issues and actionable opportunities
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to tell compelling business and result stories.
Innate curiosity and desire to learn with a strong inclination to challenge the status quo and drive for results in ambiguous spaces and a fast-paced industry
