Position Summary:

ClearCaptions seeks a visionary with deep technical knowledge to drive our platform architecture and transform the delivery of industry-leading Communications Service Provider capabilities and services.

You'll leverage your expertise in cloud technologies, VOIP, CPaaS, and IoT platforms, as well as your financial and commercial acumen, to transform our products and develop new capabilities.

The ideal candidate understands the whole solution and services framework, and they apply their knowledge of multi-cloud and hybrid architectures, platform and services design, and how to implement them in every stage from solution design to technology implementation. The Network Architect has a vital role in developing the infrastructure to match business needs and requirements.

Most importantly, you must possess a passion for mentoring, collaborating, and championing the principles of the architectural process and its value to the organization.

This is a Remote/Work from Home position reporting to the Director of Enterprise Architecture.

What you will do:

  • Design the company's network architecture and own the roadmap through its lifecycle.

  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure the architecture is aligned with business requirements.

  • Create the documentation "artifacts" of the architecture.

  • Work with DevOps, Development Engineering, other domain architects, and internal stakeholders to identify the best solutions for known and anticipated constraints.

  • Be the trusted technical advisor to network engineering and DevOps teams.

  • Perform design and reviews with peers and stakeholders.

  • Look for problems within the platform and its integrations and work to resolve issues.

  • Ensure the architecture supports technologies such as VoIP, wireless, IoT, etc.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10+ years of experience, including analyzing, configuring, troubleshooting, and designing complex, highly available, and scalable networks that support VOIP and multimedia services in a CSP, Telco, or Service Provider setting.

  • Experience working with cloud-based network infrastructures, such as AWS / Azure / GCP, including AWS Direct Connect and Azure Express Route.

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and tools for orchestration and configuration.

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of VoIP deployments and protocols, such as SIP, SDP, RTP, and WebRTC, leveraging IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) frameworks.

  • Demonstrated experience with network protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPLS, VRRP, GLBP, etc.)

  • Experience with commercial Softswitches, Session Border Controllers, SIP proxies, Media, and Application Servers.

  • Experience deploying cloud/SDN/ SD-Wan technologies.

  • Deep understanding of cloud security concepts, tools, and their integration with multimedia applications.

  • Experience with next-generation firewall technology (Palo Alto, AWS, etc.)

  • Strong documentation and diagramming skills ensure that all network topologies are accurately documented and recorded in Atlassian Confluence.

  • Experience working with Jira ticketing system, MOP (Method of Procedure) creation, and Change Control process adherence.

  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner at all levels of the organization.

  • Experience with the following is desired:

  • IDS / IPS, QoS, and traffic shaping policies and techniques.

  • Knowledge of IoT protocols, standards, and technologies.

  • Understanding of Cloud connectivity partners (Megaport, Equinix, Cloud Exchange, etc.)

  • Certificates within the cloud, network/security domains (AWS, Azure, CCIE, PCNSE, etc.)

  • TOGAF certification or similar.

  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, working within demanding timeframes.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality, results-driven, team-oriented environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to use discretion, make sound decisions, and maintain confidentiality.

  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and travel (up to 5%); will include some overnight travel.

  • Proficient in MS Office, modern communication tools for virtual teams (i.e., MS Teams)

    Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:

  • Viewing computer monitor, tablet and cell phone screen requiring close vision (70-90%)

    100% Remote: Work environment is at home.

    Compensation :
