Red Hat Senior Consultant in Brazil

The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Senior AppDev Consultant to join us in Brazil. In this role, you will perform on-site delivery and implementation of Red Hat OpenShift and related solutions and offerings. You'll gain understanding of our customers’ infrastructures and business needs and make recommendations appropriate to their environment to create possibilities and resolve issues. As a Senior AppDev Consultant, you will work closely with customers on various specific initiatives, including architecture, deployment and troubleshooting. You will also support other consultants, associates, and partners in developing best practices and methods, mainly based on OpenShift and related technologies.

What you will do

  • Serve as a trusted adviser to Red Hat engineers and project and technical managers to deliver and implement the right solutions for our customers

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on site, addressing customers’ technical, development, and IT issues and needs

  • Learn new technologies and apply those concepts to customer needs

  • Adapt to changing customer requirements

  • Manage technical problem identification and resolution, support system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of open source solutions

  • Keep stakeholders updated on issues that may affect project or company performance

What you will bring

  • Experience working as a software engineer, consultant, or in similar roles

  • Proven experience in designing, and developing complex customer solutions in a rapidly evolving technology domain

  • Experience with container and container orchestration solutions like Kubernetes/Red Hat OpenShift, Docker, Podman, or other container tools

  • Proven experience with software development, including languages, systems, and frameworks such as: Java, Spring, Quarkus, Python, JMS, Kafka, Istio, Knative, SQL, NoSQL and Redis/Infinispan

  • Practical experience using Cloud as a development environment

  • Practical experience in application development using agile approach

  • Practical experience on building pipeline and continuous integration (CI) and continuous development (CD)

  • Knowledge on DevOps and Microservices (Service Mesh)

  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies on your own and apply new concepts to problems

  • Good English skills

  • Willingness to travel to customer sites, following Red Hat’s COVID-19 guidelines
