Astera Health currently has three Patient Access Representative positions available. The Patient Access team plays a key role in the overall patient experience. As a member of this team, you “set the stage” as one of the first faces our patients see. From a warm greeting to confidently registering the patient for their appointment, you have the opportunity to make a difference each and every day.
Open positions include:
64 hours per biweekly pay period (one opening)
80 hours per biweekly pay period (two openings)
These positions are either 64 or 80 hours per biweekly pay period; varying days Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. working as a satellite clinic float for all clinic locations. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Receives patients and visitors and ascertains their needs to assist them using a caring and professional manner
Secures demographic and financial information from patients or family, obtains necessary signatures and enter information into the electronic health record to complete the registration process
Schedules clinic appointments and maintains provider clinic schedules
Operates telephone console using a caring and professional manner to assist callers, answer questions and transfer calls to correct departments when appropriate
Requests and receives payments on accounts; reconciles and compiles daily cash drawer
Competencies required include:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Positive attitude
Demonstrates high degree of commitment to customer service excellence
Strong computer skills, knowledgeable in Microsoft Office
Medical terminology a plus
Education and experience required:
High school diploma or GED, or in the process of obtaining
Post-secondary education with emphasis on office practices or previous office experience preferred
