Join our company and be part of an innovative team that’s First in Food. Location Description Wakefield is one of the largest production facilities within Michael Foods. We serve as a flex plant and are able to produce everything from a whole pasteurized egg to liquid, dried, hardboiled and curds. Responsibilities This is a rotating schedule where all 3 shifts will be covered by the relief tech. Summary: The Quality Assurance Floor Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the adherence to proper specifications for incoming ingredients, packaging materials, and outgoing finished products. Their meticulous work ensures the delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality products, benefiting both Michael Foods and its customers. Upholding safety standards and compliance with food safety regulations are integral aspects of this role. Responsibilities: Communicate and coordinate with Production to address issues promptly. Adhere to safe work practices, maintaining sanitary conditions, and ensuring product quality. Verify completion and signing off of Process Controls (PCs) and Critical Control Points (CCPs). Follow the shift’s checklist for the area diligently. Fill out inventory adjustment sheets and hold tags accurately. Conduct weekly environmental swabs and air plates. Ensure employees adhere to safety policies and procedures. Perform and record assigned Quality Assurance Technician (QAT) tasks. Coordinate with labs to timely submit product samples. Perform any other assigned duties. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Proficiency in basic mathematical skills and ability to interpret graphs. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to various situations. Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the job duties effectively. Knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles. Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 55 pounds above the shoulders. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong organizational skills. Openness to change and self-motivation. Responsible behavior at work.
