Manage and schedule regulator and critical valve inspections, transmission system mark outs, line patrols, maintenance and lead surveys and the installation and maintenance of industrial meter sets. Provide inspection of third-party construction activities near the transmission lines. Order materials and provide inventory control. Insure proper levels of odorant. Calibrate, inspect, operate and maintain telemetry and remote-control equipment. Inspect, operate and maintain pipeline gas heaters. Insure proper pressure settings throughout the company's transmission and distribution systems. Provide LNG operation and company off-duty supervision. Schedule and dispatch manpower in response to emergency situations.Major Responsibilities:Oversee the operations and maintenance of the Company’s transmission system and metering and regulator stations, provide support enabling the company to meet system reliability and demand requirements, and maintain public safety and awareness.Observe all applicable Federal, State, Local, and Company Safety and Environmental Standards, and ensure that the Company’s transmission, metering, regulator, and LNG facilities are within compliance.Schedule and coordinate internal and external operations, maintenance and construction personnel, and purchase and manage applicable materials and inventory, in accordance with the operations and maintenance budget.Ensure large industrial customer satisfaction by overseeing construction of new meter sets, turning on and inspecting, operating, and maintaining existing sets, and responding to customer complaints.Strive to reduce the company’s capital budget by coordinating feasibility, design and construction activities with the Engineering Department, reviewing and approving Engineering plans to assure accurate installation and testing, and managing and coordinating external contractors to minimize potential conflicts.Manage, schedule and support security at key company facilities during periods of heightened Homeland Security.Manage, schedule, and dispatch the Union workforce in accordance with the provisions of the contract, and provide leadership and training, to achieve all safety, compliance, budgeting and productivity goals.Support Distribution and Utility Services Department with system pressure concerns.Support Gas Control with contract and system control issues.Work with team members to develop and utilize methods for improving work quality, and efficiencies in support of continuous improvement.Perform economic analysis on various alternatives for services provided, in order to justify feasibility of doing business.Commit to coaching and providing feedback to team members for the development of technical skills and safe practices on the job.Provide company off hour duty supervision.Position Specifications:Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related sciencesA minimum of five years in a related field, or the combined equivalent of education and experienceExcellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsMust be detail-oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments and deadlinesBasic proficiency in Microsoft including Word and ExcelAvailability during non-scheduled hours is required* The above job description is reflective of the primary duties of this position and in no way limits the supervisor from assigning any other duties, responsibilities or initiatives as deemed necessary.This position is deemed safety-sensitive under the U.S. Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration’s (PHMSA) regulations.
