A Registered Nurse caregiver must obtain their ACLS and Moderate Sedation Certificate within their first month. Shift Details : Part-time, 0.875 FTE. 10 hour variable shifts. Shift may include weekends. Call required. About our Cath Lab Unit: Our staff work collaboratively with our technologists, diagnostic cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, and interventional radiologists. The role would include moderate sedation and critical nursing care for our patients in the Cath Lab and related interventional radiology sites. Care would be managed for biopsies, drain placements, spinal cord stimulators, nerve ablations, and other service line procedures. In the Cath Lab the nurse would expect to work with devices such as Penumbra, Rotablator, Shockwave, Impella, Maquet Balloon Pumps, and other service line products. The right candidate would work as part of a four-person rotating call team with the interventional cardiologist providing 24-hour coverage for our community and the communities we serve. Interdepartmental collaboration is essential as we work with peers in the pre-operative area, radiology department, and inpatient care units. Our dynamic work team strives for constant improvement in our skills, processes, and knowledge to provide the best possible care we can for every patient. The nurse should expect to work collaboratively with all our staff. A typical work schedule would include an average of 35 work hours per week, 2 weekends of call coverage in every 6-week rotation, and mid-week rotating call coverage. Each staff member will take approximately 14 days (about 2 weeks) of call in a 6-week rotation, with two weekends being counted within those days. Holidays are fairly rotated between staff and PTO adjustments may be made to accommodate staffing needs. We expect our staff to perform at the highest possible ability for our patients and we strive to manage a healthy work/life balance. Required qualifications: Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
